A Plain Language Guide to the United Republic of Tanzania’s Land, Forest and Wildlife Laws and Policies

Tanzanian Wildlife Working Group, August 2004

Printer friendly version - 843Kb pdf file

This booklet describes the main policies and laws which govern three key Tanzanian resources: land, forests and wildlife. The information in the booklet has been organised so that it will be helpful to rural villagers and other interest parties. These sectors have been chosen because: laws relating to them have recently gone through a lot of changes; the resources are key to the majority of villagers’ livelihoods and well-being; and finally it is important for such resources to be properly stewarded for both current and future generations.
